WHEN IS REGISTRATION?
2024 registration is open. You can register online anytime. After your registration has been reviewed, EHYFC will send an invoice via Square or PayPal to the email provided. Please choose the appropriate link below: (FLAG registration has closed for 2024)

**East Henderson High School Football and Cheer Summer Camp will be held at East Henderson High School, dates. TBD. Camp is open to anyone interested in playing football or cheering. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to try out football to see if it is right for them. There will be opportunities to register for the upcoming season during camp.

WHAT IS THE COST?

7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL (NO CHEERLEADING):

  • $60 (Includes uniform)

FULL CONTACT:

Early registration (Registered and paid in full by May 31st):

  • Football Players: $100
  • Cheerleaders: $300 (Cheer registration cut off is June 10th)

After May 31st it will be:

  • Football Players: $125
  • Cheerleaders $325 (Cheer registration ends June 10th)

WHAT DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?

These items must be turned in no later than the first week of practice. 
~  Registration Packet (or online form)- completed

~  Current Annual Sports Physical that covers the entire season (doesn’t expire until after Nov. It is a good idea to ahead and schedule your child’s physical now so you can make sure you get an appointment before it expires.) Here is a form that will work if your child’s doctor’s office doesn’t have one.

~  Birth Certificate (must be original or certified copy with certified stamp/seal) We must keep these on file for the entirety of the season. If you need it returned to you sooner, please provide us a photocopy with the original; this will be verified and signed by WNCFYC after weigh-ins, and your original will be returned when the book is returned to us.

~  Picture (wallet size)

~ All registration fees, dues, or uniform rental/purchase cost

  • Full Contact ***Book check/Weigh-ins will be August 10th @ Asheville Outlets parking lot near the Nike entrance. Time TBD. ALL participants must be present 15 min early. If you have a planned vacation or obligation that will not allow your child to be there…we MUST be informed and have all required documents before weigh-ins to make other arrangements with the WNCYFC Board for your child.*** 

WHEN DOES THE SEASON START?

  • 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL: (Spring season) First practice Thursday March 21st, First game April 13th
  • FULL CONTACT: July 22nd is will be the first day of practice.

WHEN IS PRACTICE?

  • 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL: Thursdays 6:00-7:30
  • FULL CONTACT and CHEERLEADING: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 6-8pm. Time changes to 5:30-7:30 sometime after school starts, when daylight hours begin to shorten.

(Up until our first game, there may be Friday practice and occasional inclement weather make up practices. )

WHERE IS PRACTICE?

  • 7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL: East Henderson High School
  • FULL CONTACT and CHEERLEADING: Upward Elementary School Monday and Thursday;  East Henderson High School on Tuesdays. This is a favor to us from the school. Please respect school property (this includes roadway, fields, playground, parking lot, etc.)

You must stay with your child during all games and practices. We are unable to make any medical decisions on your behalf. This means you or another adult with permission to make such decisions must be present with your child at all times.

Dogs ARE NOT permitted on ANY Public School property. Please leave your pets at home for all practices and games.

Please pick up after yourself and make sure your child has picked up any bottles they may have left on the field.

ABSOLUTELY NO Smoking or vaping is allowed on school property. Please do not smoke or vape near the children.

WHAT DAY IS GAME DAY?
Game day is held on Saturdays. Schedules will be posted as soon as they are made available. Start times are determined by the hosting team.

Gate entry: $3 Students, $5 adults (only players and coaches get in free)

7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL: Saturdays beginning April 13th. Times will vary based on location.

FULL CONTACT and CHEERLEADING: Our Home games are usually 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, & 7:00, some other leagues start their game times as 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, & 1:00.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED?

7v7 FLAG FOOTBALL: players will receive their own jersey and compression shorts as a uniform.

FULL CONTACT: With your paid registration, EHYFC loans each player Game pants, Game jersey, practice jersey, practice pants, shoulder pads, and helmet. Green game socks and 1 mouth guard are provided (If lost or chewed up…you must purchase one on your own.)

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NOT PROVIDED?
Each player will need to purchase their cleats, gloves, or other personal items.

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS?

Team is determined by age of child by August 1st.

FOOTBALL:

Mighty Mites 5-6 years old

Termites 7-8 years old

Mites 9-10 years old

Midgets 11-12 years old

(Must not turn 13 before April 1st)

No weight limits this year.

CHEER:

Mighty Mites 4-6 years old

Termites 7-8 years old

Mites 9-10 years old

Midgets 11-12 years old
